1. Information only, not official
MaxCreel.com is a general fishing information guide. Lake sizes, species lists, creel limits, size limits, seasons, boat ramps, bait shops, maps and other details are gathered from state wildlife agencies and other public sources. They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. MaxCreel.com is not a government agency and nothing here is an official regulation.
Before you fish, always check current rules, licensing requirements, closures and advisories with the state agency that manages the water. You are responsible for knowing and following all laws that apply to you. A creel limit or season shown here is never a defense if you break a rule.
2. Fish and boat at your own risk
Fishing, boating, wading and ice fishing involve real risks, including drowning, weather, cold water, thin ice, hazards under the water, and injury from equipment and wildlife. You use the information on this site, and go onto any water, entirely at your own risk. We do not guarantee that fish will be present or catchable, that a ramp or access point is open or safe, that ice is safe, or that conditions match what is shown. Always check the weather, wear a life jacket, tell someone your plans, and use your own judgment.
3. Maps, outlines, depths and navigation
Lake outlines, pins, boat launch locations and any depth or structure information are approximate and are shown for planning and general interest only. They are not for navigation. Do not rely on them to find hazards, channels, shallow water or safe routes.
4. Weather, water temperature and other live data
Weather, air temperature, water temperature and similar readings come from third-party sources and from reports posted by visitors. They may be delayed, estimated, missing or inaccurate.
5. Ask Max
Ask Max is an automated helper that answers from the information on this site. Its answers may be incomplete or mistaken, and they are not professional, legal or safety advice. Do not rely on Ask Max for regulations or safety. Check with the managing agency.
6. Reports, articles and other user content
Fishing reports, chat posts and articles are written by visitors and contributors. They are their opinions and experiences. MaxCreel.com does not verify them and does not endorse them. We may edit, decline or remove anything at any time, for any reason.
When you submit something, you confirm that you wrote it (or have the right to share it), that it is not copied from anyone else, and that it does not contain unlawful, threatening, defamatory or private information about others. You keep ownership of what you write, and you give MaxCreel.com a free, non-exclusive permission to publish, display and edit it for length and clarity on this site. You can ask us to remove your submission by emailing FishOn@maxcreel.com.
7. Advertising, bait shops and links to other sites
Some placements on this site are paid advertising. Advertising does not mean MaxCreel.com recommends or guarantees a business, product or service. Bait shop and business listings come from public sources and may be out of date, so call ahead to confirm hours and stock. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, products, services or privacy practices.
8. No warranty and limit of liability
The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, reliability or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Max Creel, its owner and anyone who contributes to the site are not liable for any injury, death, property damage, fine, citation, loss or other damage of any kind that results from using or relying on the site or from anything posted on it. Some places do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Lake and regulation facts come from public sources and belong to those sources. If you believe something on this site infringes your rights, email FishOn@maxcreel.com with the page address and a description, and we will review it promptly.
10. Privacy
What we collect. If you post a fishing report, we store what you type (a name is optional) along with the lake, the date and time, and the conditions you enter. If you submit an article or an advertising application, we store the contact details you provide, such as your name, email, phone and business name. We use these only to review your submission and to contact you about it. We do not sell your information.
What we do not collect. The site has no user accounts and does not take payments or collect payment card details. Please do not put personal or sensitive information in a public report.
Other services. Maps, satellite images and weather data are loaded by your browser from third-party providers, which can see your internet address as part of loading them. Our web host also keeps standard server logs. At launch the site does not use advertising trackers or analytics. If that changes, this page will be updated.
Children. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or removed, email FishOn@maxcreel.com.

We may update this page at any time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
