American Falls Reservoir
A large Snake River reservoir just north of the town of American Falls in southeast Idaho, and the biggest reservoir in the state when full. It is best known for fast-growing rainbow trout, with smallmouth bass and yellow perch also in the mix.

Rainbow Trout
Heavily stocked by IDFG and capable of trophy size in good water years. Troll or cast spoons and flies near the dam and along the west shore in spring and fall.
Smallmouth Bass
Rocky shorelines and riprap near the dam. Tubes and small crankbaits in summer.
Yellow Perch
Present in IDFG surveys. Small jigs tipped with bait near the bottom.
Brown Trout
Less common than rainbows. Look for them near inflows and the upper river arm in cooler months.
